DESIGNER STITCH DESIGNS
1ST BIRTHDAY SALE EVER

My Blog tour for Designer Stitch is a compilations of garments made with Designer Stitch's patterns. Come July it will be a a year that I have been testing and sewing garments for Ann Gross of Designer Stitch, and I love all her designs. Take a look of a sampling of some of Designers Stitch designs. Plus, take advantage of the once a year 50% off all patterns until June 12, 2017, Australian time. Click on the link to purchase. http://designerstitch.com/?affiliates=12

I loved, loved sewing the Willow Kimono. I love being creative, and when Ann Gross said "be creative", creative I was. I had these two old silk kimonos saved in my fabric stash. This was a perfect garment to use these silk kimonos. I used two different kimonos to get the different colored border. I used a rayon trim with rhinestones for the front border, and hand tied rayon string together to form the fringe. My all time favorite kimono. I love the Bohemian look, and feel I achieved the look here.

The Willow Kimono made with black woven lace, rayon trim for front band, and rayon fringe for the sleeves. A classic to wear out for an evening date.

The Bridgette long sleeve Top. I sewed the split sleeve with ties, and v-neck. I used a cotton voile fabric, very light, breathable fabric, and comfortable to wear. The Bridgette also has another pattern in short sleeves.

The Eleni Dress, Top, Tunic, is another of my favorites Designer Stitch Designs. For this version I made the knee length, bell sleeves, with an optional neck tie, and sash/belt. I made this Eleni out of a rayon challis fabric. I use rayon challis often, because it is comfortable and breathable to wear.

Shown here is the Eleni in a maxi version, bell sleeves with trim, and also made in a rayon challis fabric.

Next up is the Gypsy Dress or Tunic. I made the High/Low Dress version. Again, I made this dress out of a rayon challis fabric.

Shown below is another Designer Stitch Design, the Kat Weekend Top. This top is a very fast sew. I added a rayon trim and made out of a medium weight, woven rayon fabric.

An all time favorite show below is the Kera Skirt. This skirt was so much fun to sew. My version has a wide waist which has an interfacing. I like this type of waist band because I found it to be flattering on the waist. I sewed many ribbon ties between the seams to be able to have the look of layers on the skirt when the ribbons are tied together. I used a thin sash and a crinkly type woven fabric, with a sheen to it.

The Megan skirt shown below is made out of a woven fabric. I used a faux suede fabric, and for the front panel I used a quilted cotton fabric.

A big Thank You Ann Gross for your fantastic designs of which I so enjoy being creative with. Thank you for allowing me to be one of your testers and putting me to the test, pushing myself to come out of my shell, learning new skills, and being creative.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY ANN GROSS.

Enjoy everyone else's Blogs.
